In the previous installment of Daily Life at 本然農園 (2), we introduced Ryota, the representative of 本然農園. This time, we feature his grandmother, “Grandma Yoshiko.” Adopted as the character on 本然農園’s product packaging and beloved by everyone, Grandma Yoshiko is an astonishing 98 years old. Remarkably, she requires no nursing care and, while supported by her family, is able to handle her daily routines on her own. She loves yuntaku (chatting), and twice a month she looks forward to dressing up and chatting with her neighbors at community gatherings held at the local community center. Perhaps the secret to her longevity is simply spending each day with a smile. In her younger days, Grandma Yoshiko worked as a beauty consultant. She was so skilled that she once recorded the top sales in her department, helping many people with their beauty needs. Even at 98, she still visits spas and gets her nails done — her passion for beauty has never faded. Amidst all this, last autumn, when 本然農園 began manufacturing and selling cosmetics made with Moringa, her grandson — who had little experience with cosmetics — asked Grandma to review the products and share her impressions.
